What You’ll Do on the Job

You’ll be part tour guide, part storyteller, part crime-prevention hero. Cape optional.

  • Greet guests like a pro – First impressions matter!
  • Assist with interactive displays – Fingerprint dusting and forensics, anyone?
  • Help deliver short demos – Don’t worry, we’ve got the scripts and the training.
  • Engage visitors in meaningful conversation – From curious kids to true crime fans!

Your Mission (Should you choose to accept it.): Inspire. Engage. Educate.

You’ve watched the crime shows. You’ve listened to the podcasts. Now it’s your turn to step behind the scenes and help make a real difference. The Calgary Police Discovery Centre is on a mission: to educate, empower, and protect Calgarians through unforgettable crime prevention and policing experiences. And we need brilliant, big-hearted volunteers to help lead the charge. Whether you’re guiding a curious family through the TAC Team exhibit or explaining how fingerprints help crack a case, you’ll be helping people discover the power of awareness and action. So, if you’re passionate about people, safety, and maybe a little obsessed with cool police history… this might be your calling.

Mission Requirements

To join the squad, you’ll need to:

  • Be 18+ (no age limit on awesomeness)
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Have no criminal convictions or pending charges.
  • Complete and pass an Enhanced Security Clearance.
  • Commit to at least one 3-hour shift per month for one year.
  •  Bring curiosity, kindness, and a love for people.
  • Be comfortable chatting with the public (youll do it a lot!)
