Digital life is constantly changing. From AI-generated and altered content to cyberbullying, online exploitation, scams and the lasting impact of digital footprints, young people are navigating increasingly complex digital environments.
CyberWatch brings practical, real-world cyber safety education directly to students and the adults who support them.
What to Expect:
This live session will be delivered by Adriana Dewar, Cyber Safety Specialist with the Calgary Police Discovery Centre, and will explore some of the online pressures and risks young people encounter today.
Topics include:
- AI and altered digital content
- Cyberbullying and online behaviour
- Digital exploitation and emerging threats
- Digital footprints and long-term consequences
- Practical strategies for making safer decisions online
The session will also feature a live Q&A with a Calgary Police Service Cybercrimes Detective, giving students an opportunity to hear directly from a policing professional who works with cybercrime and digital investigations.

The first CyberWatch Virtual Series broadcast was a huge success, with 3,300 viewers joining live from across Canada, from Calgary to Cornwall, Yellowknife to St. John’s, Saskatoon to Mississauga and communities in between.
Delivered by Cyber Safety Specialist Adriana Dewar, the session tackled real online pressures facing youth, including AI-altered content, cyberbullying, digital exploitation and the long-term impact of digital footprints.
