History Policing Real-World Thinking

Social Savvy: Grade 9 Field Trips 2025/2026

Where Social Studies Meets Real Life.

Social Savvy is our Grade 9 Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) review experience, designed to help students make meaningful connections between curriculum and the world around them. Through the lens of historical and modern policing, we challenge students to dig deeper into the why behind the content, while sharpening the critical thinking skills they’ll need for the exam… and for life.

This is an immersive, thought-provoking exploration of equity, law, identity, power, and the stories that shaped our systems and still shape our communities.

For teachers:

Social Savvy reinforces core Grade 9 Social Studies curriculum concepts while creating space for discussion, curiosity, and deeper understanding. It’s PAT prep, reimagined.

For donors:

it’s a chance to invest in the kind of early education that changes lives. This program empowers students to engage with the world more critically and compassionately. By supporting it, you’re helping future citizens connect the dots between justice, history, and their role in shaping what comes next.
