Admission
Admission is FREE! The parking is FREE! However we do accept donations to help fund our innovative approach to education, expand our programs and events for students, youth, adults, families and our community.
OPERATING HOURS
Our public hours have shifted for the season. We’re open Fridays and Saturdays, 10am to 4pm.
Why aren’t we open during the week right now? From Monday to Thursday, our building is fully booked with Calgary students taking part in our award‑winning crime prevention programs. Every school day is packed with future crime‑solvers learning real skills.
When summer returns, our doors open five days a week again. Until then, you can still explore hands‑on exhibits, real policing stories and family‑friendly forensic fun every Friday and Saturday.
Safety begins with knowledge. It begins with conversations.
And sometimes, it begins with a single moment of understanding that can change a young person’s path.

From YouthLink to the Calgary Police Discovery Centre
After nearly three decades as YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre, we’ve evolved into something even more powerful. Today, the Calgary Police Discovery Centre stands as a Free interactive Calgary Police museum, inviting visitors of all ages to explore policing, crime prevention, and community safety in ways that spark curiosity and connection.
We’re still the same award‑winning, non‑profit team deeply embedded within the Calgary Police Service, passionately innovative in our approach, and wildly committed to helping communities stay safe. What’s changed is the way we tell our story, how we invite you to be a part of it, and what you’ll experience when you walk through our doors. It’s now a Free Calgary attraction with hands on police activities, designed to bring you closer to the real work of policing through discovery, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

The Calgary Police Discovery Centre is one of the city’s most accessible and community‑driven attractions, and it’s completely free to visit. Whether you’re a local looking for meaningful things to do or a traveller with a layover or spare afternoon, our location just minutes from the Calgary International Airport makes it easy to add a memorable stop to your vacation. Inside, you’ll explore hands‑on exhibits, real policing stories, and interactive experiences designed for all ages. It’s a place where curiosity, community, and discovery come together, offering an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Calgary.
