Summer means sunshine, adventure, and a little safety know-how! Join us for our 3rd Annual Summer Safety Day, a free, family-friendly event where fun meets safety!
This isn’t your typical safety fair. It’s an interactive day packed with demonstrations, activities, and hands-on learning for kids and parents alike. Grab a Summer Safety Passport, visit each booth, collect stamps, and discover helpful tips from Calgary’s safety experts, all while entering to win great prizes.
What you’ll experience at Summer Safety Day:
- Live demonstrations from the Calgary Police Service Canine Unit
- Cyber safety tips for families
- Fire, water, and pathway safety activities
- Meet real-life heroes: police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and Simon the Safety Bear
- Visits with the VAST facility support dogs (the snuggly kind)
- Scavenger hunts and interactive exhibits inside the Calgary Police Discovery Centre
- Free food from Calgary Co-Op (while supplies last)
- The Summer Safety Passport Challenge with prizes and giveaways
- A 50/50 draw supporting youth crime prevention programs

Yes! Our friends at Co-Op are generously providing a free BBQ for attendees, only while supplies last. Arrive early to make sure you don’t miss out.

Yes! Rain, shine, or even snow, Summer Safety Day will go on! The event includes both indoor and outdoor activities, so we recommend dressing for the weather.
